How do I book a course with Alexander Brookes?
View our Training Calendar to select your preferred course. You can also read the course outline and view course fees from there. Once you select your preferred course, complete the booking form online and we will contact you either by phone or email to confirm receipt of your booking.

I am looking for a training course but can’t find it on your website
We offer bespoke training courses, this means if you can’t find the course that suits you in the location that you prefer, contact us today to find out about our special packages.
What are the course hours?
Course hours are usually from 09.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday.
What training facilities do you use?
We use many different types of training facilities right across the United Kingdom including conference centres, training centres, hotels and function rooms.
In the case of in-house training we can offer training at the venue of your choice, this includes your own premises if you prefer. Please Contact us for Pricing.
Will Wi-Fi be available?
Wireless access is available at all our training venues. You will be given an access code on the first day of the course.
What happens if I am not available for the whole course?
Full attendance is a requirement for all courses. Certificates may be withheld if delegates are absent for parts of the course.
REGISTRATION, PRICES & PAYMENT
When will my booking be confirmed?
Your booking will be confirmed on full payment of fees. You will receive a confirmation of your place with further information, including joining instructions and directions on how to reach the training venue. A list of local accommodation is also provided to participants.
How do I pay for my training course?
Alexander Brookes will require payments in USD 21 days before the course commences. Please contact us.
What is included in the Course Fee?
Course fees for open courses include; tuition, course materials, lunch, teas and coffees, water, Study Tour, certificate of attendance, complimentary bag, sweater and hat (varies by season)

When do I have to pay for my training course?
Course fees should be paid in full no later than 3 weeks (21 days) before the start of the course. Please note: your place is not confirmed until we have received your full payment.

Do you accept applicants from overseas?
Alexander Brookes welcomes international delegates. A good level of English language is important.
Visa requirements for applicants from outside the European Union- If you live outside Canada, you will need a visa to visit Canada, please check you are eligible for a visa before applying for a course. We recommend that individuals attending any of our courses apply for the Student Visitor visa.This can often be a lengthy process; therefore we recommend you make an application for a Canadian visa at least 6-8 weeks before the course start date. Should you not obtain your visa within 14 days before the start of a course; Alexander Brookes will withdraw your place from the course.
What will the weather be like?
Do you provide accommodation?
Courses with Alexander Brookes are not residential unless stated. We will provide a list of local accommodation near our training venues on our website.
Accommodation details will also be provided to participants in our welcome pack, on confirmation of your place.
Should I book my accommodation and travel now?
Arrangements for accommodation and travel should only be considered when you have a confirmed booking. Your booking is only confirmed once we have received full payment. Participants from outside Calgary are advised not to book travel before checking that there are no changes to the course they wish to attend. Alexander Brookes will not reimburse expenses if courses are cancelled.
Summer can be very pleasant with temperatures averaging 18°C (64°F) and often into the low 20s. In recent years London has experienced heat waves with temperatures well above 30°C (86°F).
Spring and autumn see temperatures of around 11° to 15°C (52 to 59°F). Evenings are lighter for longer with the advent of British Summer Time at the end of March (until end October).
Typical temperatures for winter are between 2 and 6°C (36 to 43°F). Temperatures don’t often drop below freezing and snow isn’t common – although occasionally London does experience heavy snowfall
The number of rainy days (with more than 0.25mm of rainfall) is fairly consistent throughout the year, with between 11 and 15 rainy days every month. Overall rainfall is highest in November and August (64 mm and 59mm respectively) and is lowest in March and April (37mm each).

Bookings can be made by fax, email, post or online. All bookings will be regarded as confirmed once received.

Bookings can also be made by telephone, but these bookings will be regarded as provisional. Please note that the bookings will remain provisional until we have received written confirmation.
A written notification of cancellation should be sent at least 14 days prior to the start of the course, should circumstances prevent the delegate from attending the course concerned. Cancellations made less than 4 weeks will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the course fee.
Postponements and Transfers
Attendance on a course can be postponed once bookings have already been made. However, intention to postpone has to be sent in writing 14 days prior to the start of the course concerned.
Written notification is required to transfer a booking to another course. This can be applied without charge (if the course fees for both courses are identical), but the new booking cannot be subsequently cancelled.
Please note any postponements or transfers requested less than 21 days will incur a £50 admin fee.
Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.
The balance of course fees must be paid in full no later than 21 days prior to the start of the course (or immediately for late bookings). All payments will be received in British Pound Sterling. Alexander Brookes will not be responsible for any financial shortfall if fees are changed from another foreign currency.
Course fees include; tuition, course materials, lunch, teas and coffees, study or London Tour, certificate, and complimentary bag, jumper and hat.
All participants excluding Government officials and public servants – are liable to pay the standard rate of VAT, which is currently 20% effective of 4 January 2011.
Alexander Brookes reserves the right to remove any delegate from their programme should their behaviour be deemed inappropriate by Alexander Brookes or its partners. This will result in no refund of course fees or other expenditure incurred.
