Some projects can be handled one person or a small team and here are some great tips from Lifehack on how to get your project in order in just 10 minutes. Their suggestions may be obvious, but it’s amazing how many people fail to do these simple steps (it’s much better if you write or type rather than just thinking through the steps in your head). Here are the steps they suggest:
Define – Purpose and what completion looks like
Identify – one single next action
Organise – Prepare a task list and see which tasks rely on tasks or require a response from others
Review – Look for any glaring mistakes or dependencies that could be problematic
Once you’ve have gone through these steps, it doesn’t mean that the project is completely managed. For a start, you’ll need to set aside time to solve the issues that may have arisen from step 4. And you’ll need to co-ordinate with anybody else who might be involved the tasks.
But this is at least one simple way to get a handle on things when you are losing control of your current projects.
